5 Signs They STILL Love Their EX [ULTIMATE LIST]
The ultimate list for if your boyfriend or girlfriend is still in love with their ex. When going over this list you want more than one sign. Meaning if they do only one of these signs it doesn't mean they’re still in love. Also, know yourself, if you ask your S.O. about their ex every day then you need to work on your trust. Since that’s not the same as them bringing the ex up out of nowhere. Here are the signs they still love their ex:
They haven’t gotten rid of their Ex’s stuff
I mean if their ex gave them a Louis Vuitton bag well then ok I get it. But if you’re looking around and they still have a lot of ex memorabilia that might be an issue. Even worse if you ask them about it and they throw a tantrum. Ex’s stuff includes that box of their belongings they might still have in their room or pictures on the wall. This could be a sign that they’re not ready to let go. It’s all a reminder of a past relationship they might not be over yet.
They get upset when their ex is dating someone new
Your boyfriend or girlfriend gets sad and emo. You do some snooping and find out the ex is in a new relationship. This could be a coincidence but pay attention to their attitude and how long they're sad. If you don't snoop and they tell you they’re sad about the ex’s new relationship that’s worse. If they’re sad about this for a very long time. Like they recently broke up with the ex. That’s not good.
You haven’t met friend or family
If you’ve been dating for a short time, not meeting the family isn’t a big deal. Plus you have to consider if the family lives out of state. BUT if you’re 6 months to a year deep and they haven’t even fathomed the idea of you meeting the parents that’s a red flag. Especially if they have stories about the ex hanging with the family. How will you know? It will have come up in casual conversation at this point. If he says that they never met the ex then surprise you both aren’t that special. But, if he is like, "oh we went skiing as a family over the holidays once." Then it means that they’re wary about if you’re the one or if they’re over the ex.
On that note, it brings me to the next one…
They still hang out with the Ex’s family
It’s hard to let go of a relationship you build with a family. He or she could have gotten close to the ex’s siblings and whatever. But guess what? It’s a casualty of war. When you break up with someone you gotta let the family go too. If she is still going to graduation parties or he’s going to father’s day with the ex’s dad. Then it’s because they want the family to put in a good word. They’re not ready to let go and they’re keeping a foot in the door. This doesn't apply if they share kids with the ex. Those are different circumstances.
They still have photos on social media
No excuse, we all know the rules of social media. When you break up you delete the photos and make your followers speculate what happened. I mean if you’re afraid to hit the delete button there is an archive option. My point is, there is no reason that there are be cuddle and kiss photos on social media with their ex. If people still think they’re in a relationship with their ex it's not good. I’m not saying you need to be all over their social media but the ex shouldn’t be.
Bonus Signs:
They stalk their ex on Instagram giving likes and comments on posts. But not yours.
Open about everything but refuses to talk about ex.
Still very angry about how they broke up.
They ask friends about the ex in front of you.
